Your main responsibilities: As an Agribusiness Advisor, based in Tirana, you will be reporting to the Managing Director. You will be working in close cooperation with YSBs local team in Albania and our global team in Germany. You will have an exciting set of responsibilities including the following: Take on a leadership role in generation and management of the pipeline of social businesses andsocial entrepreneurship initiatives to be supported by YSB. This includes: Development and implementation of the sourcing strategy, including provision of business consulting and/or incubation and acceleration services to social entrepreneurship initiatives in the agribusiness and agro/rural-tourism sectors; Contribute to the analysis and due diligence of potential investments (especially the review and assessment of entrepreneurs capacities, qualitative and quantitative analysis of business plans); Provide technical support and advice, and facilitation of third party services as needed, to the portfolio social businesses and other selected social business and social entrepreneurship initiatives in the agribusiness and agro/rural tourism sectors; Support of the YSB management in their respective decision-making; Take on a leadership role in design, testing and development of new/innovative mechanisms for provision of technical information and advisory support services to agribusinesses and agro-rural tourism entrepreneurs, including: Collection, assessment and analysis of most pressing needs and requirements for such services; Design, testing and development of mechanisms and instruments for provision of such services, including off-line and on-line tools; Identification and development of a network of specialists/entrepreneurs that could and are willing to contribute (preferably pro-bono) for establishment and development of the designed mechanisms/instruments; Support the team in the design and development of a business model for reaching the sustainability of the designed mechanisms and/or instruments; Help the YSB representatives in administration matters, including: Assist in the technical and financial documentation of the YSB activities; Assisting in the management of the YSB, including management, supervision and coaching of other junior team members as well as volunteers. Supporting the Managing Director in fundraising activities. We have: A full-time position for one-year duration, with competitive compensation. What you have (Selection Criteria): We are considering candidates with the following qualities, skills and experience: A university degree in economics, business administration, financial management, banking, or related fields. We consider higher qualifications an advantage. A demonstrated commitment to serving societys needs and a high level of personal integrity; Native-speaker of Albanian language and fluent in English; At least ten (10) years of experience of which at least five (5) years in one of the following fields: Professional advisory/consulting services e.g. agriculture and agribusiness development,agriculture advisory services, improved production technologies, forest fruits and medical herbs, post-harvesting techniques, agriculture product marketing; Provision of strategic, financial or general-management advise to private-sector businesses in agriculture and agro/rural tourism sectors; Senior position (consulting and/or management) at reputable agribusiness and livelihoods focused organizations, with experience in implementation of internationally financed projects with a business focus in such fields; Very strong analytical skills, critical and creative thinking, evidence-based analysis, efficiency and thoroughness, demonstrated by excellent academic qualifications or prior professional results, especially in agriculture/agribusiness and agro/rural-tourism related subjects; Command of business consulting and research tools, especially interview techniques, Excel modelling, business-plan analysis; Report writing skills (in both English and Albanian languages) Team work spirit.
